Movember 2011

I got up with dad and helped him light the open fires in our hotel rooms. On a cold winters day its really nice to have an open log fire in your hotel room.

I then packed my walking gear and took dad for a good walk over the headland and into Abersoch. the weather was a bit challenging but we made it to the village. On the way back we stopped off at the art gallery to look at the new artists that were on display.

This is me and mum in the art gallery cafe, we both look upset because today is the last day for my Movemeber moustache and I have to shave it off tomorrow.

Today I wanted to go and try out my bucket and spade that we bought yesterday. It was still very windy and cold but I told dad that we were going on the beach.

Sand castles in the wind

This is me making my first ever sand castles, dad built a moat round them but it took forever to fill it with water so we decided to build some more closer to the sea and we watched the sea wash them away.

after the beach we went to the new cafe in Abersoch and I had my first baby fracino to warm me up after a nice day on the windy beach.

Mia with mums presents

Today me and dad got up early and we decorated my room with balloons and streamers. Dad made some candles that said Happy Birthday and put them over the fireplace.

Dad then went to get mum up out of bed. Mum came into the room and I was hiding under all the balloons with her birthday presents.

This is me with mums pressies.

Today we got up nice and early and headed over to Nefyn, dad likes coming here because I can play on the beach while he can sit at the bar of the Ty Cock pub. The pub is right on the beach and at high tide you can jump in the sea from sitting at the bar.

When we woke up we heard about a cargo ship that had sunk over night and several of the crew were missing at sea. We watched all day as the RNLI helicopters flew up and down looking for the missing men.

Later on dad told me that some of the men had died and that they still couldn’t find the other men. I tried to help them by walking up and down the beach looking out. I hope they do find them all.

Mia Breakfast

Today we set off to North Wales for a week away, the last few months have been a bit hectic so it was good to finally get to spend some quality time with mum and dad.

On the way to Wales we stopped off to look at Bodelwyddan Castle. We finally arrived in Llanberog just in time for tea. I asked dad if we could have a chippy for tea as its the traditional thing to do when beside the sea. After checking into the hotel we set off into Abersoch to get some nice fish and chips. Dad gets confused when mum asks if we can have fish and chips because when she asks for “fish and Chips” she actually means she wants cheese burger and chips.

This is me having some fruit before we set off.
